Heart Niagara Receives Donation from Sleep Cheap Program

Heart Niagara would like to thank the Sleep Cheap Charities Reap program for “flexing their generosity muscle!” Their contribution of $3,000 will go towards our new exercise facility called, HeartCore.

Opened in September 2015, HeartCore is furnished MedX weight equipment, which was designed by the founder of Nautilus.  It’s the most technologically advanced fitness, sports and medical/rehabilitation equipment available.   The weekly 15 minute exercise program is based on the book “Body by Science and is suitable for multiple ages and fitness levels.

HeartCore is complemented by Heart Niagara’s expertise in community outreach and a 25 year history in cardiac rehabilitation.  We are capable of providing client focused, age appropriate services that strengthen sustainable long-term lifestyle change.

Heart Niagara is known as a community influencer that has the infrastructure and relationships in place to support positive health changes for Niagara Falls residents. Scientific research indicates that the long-term effects of an unhealthy lifestyle, including poor nutrition, poverty, inactivity and tobacco use. As a registered non-profit within the community for 39 years, we needed to act.

This donation will increase Niagara Falls residents’ opportunity to receive support to manage the risks of premature heart disease at a central location reducing barriers to access, cost and transportation.
