On June 8th, Heart Niagara will be celebrating our 40th anniversary and Canada’s 150th by hosting Picnic on the Q. The goal of the event is to bring the community together in a cheerful picnic atmosphere while supporting local businesses, building relationships, encouraging healthy eating and physical activity. Guests of Picnic on the Q can either bring a packed dinner with them or pre-order food from a local Queen Street restaurant.
Picnic on the Q will be created by connecting 150 tables together and positioning them into the letter “C” in honour of Canada’s 150th Birthday. Everyone seated at the tables will receive a red napkin which will be waved patriotically in the air during an aerial photo. By participating in Picnic on the Q, you can be part of a truly memorable celebration!
For the duration of the event, guests will enjoy live entertainment, a chance to win a 50/50 raffle, play zones and activities for all ages. Remember to use #EatingTogether in your social media posts!
The 2017 Picnic on the Q will act as a pilot for next year’s goal of achieving Guinness World Records’ status for the longest picnic table.
