Poached Pears

Ingredients:
Pears
- 6 small-medium firm pears, peeled
- 1 bottle of wine (red or white, sweet or dry)
- 1/4 cup agave
- 1/2 cup of strawberries
- (Other fruit can be added to vary the flavour)
Sauce
- 1 can of coconut milk
- 1/2 cup of agave
Directions:
- Peel pears. Add pears and other fruit in to the sauce pot
- Cover the pears with wine. Drizzle the agave on top of the pears
- Bring wine to a boil. Let boil for 15 miutes. Turn the head down to medium or low for 15 more minutes (if pears pears are still hard, let boil until pears soften)
- In a frying pan, heat coconut milk and agave. When mixture bubbles, reduce heat. Stir until sauce is a carmel texture. Add some wine from the pears.
- Plate pears and drizzle with sauce
